Mary McDonnell
Mary Eileen McDonnell, born April 28th, 1952 was an American actress on stage, TV, and film. She has received Academy Award nominations for her performances as Stands With A Fist in Dances with Wolves and May-Alice Culhane in Passion Fish. McDonnell is famous for her performances as President Laura Roslin in Battlestar Galactica as well as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day, and Rose in Donnie Darko. McDonnell played Captain Sharon Raydor on seasons 5-7 of TNT's television series The Closer. She also appeared on Major Crimes, the spin-off show on TNT's network, as the Commander Sharon Raydor.
